In my last post, I briefly introduced a fresh feed management provider FeedTea. Personally,I think this new comer is very smart to choose the right time to enter our eyes, that is, during these days big IT news are all around the feed market, like Google is buying Feedburner and Feedsky is on the way to US and Europe Market.I believe many people are very curious about FeedTea, but due to some reasons few information of them can be found on the net.With curiosity ,I contacted with Zhao Jian from FeedTea via Email yesterday.Luckily, he's very frank to answer all of my questions...

Please briefly introduce the FeedTea Team and development state.
Our team was formed in November 2006,located in Jinan City Shandong Province.We have 12 employees and 8 of them are for technical support.
After 6 months' developing, our feed managing and feed advertising systems have been made up.Now you can visit our website and see what the feed management panel look like,while the AD function is under our testing and will be released soon.
Will FeedTea focus on basic feed services or on content aggregation like rss readers or portal websites?
Definitely, we will do basic services at the very beginning. When all of our services are stable, we will set about the content.I think we should try everything that is benefit to us.
Which AD methods is feedtea to choose?
Contextual ad that similar to Google Adsense. May be we will introduce Topic ADs like ReviewMe in the future if bloggers and advertisers need.
And where the advertisers come from?
Our customers in the first period, are those internet companies who feel interest in this project.
Has feedtea raised fund from VC?
Not yet.It's a long way to find a suitable VC,but we are doing it.
Partners?
We cooperated with Shandong University at the initial stages,but we haven't started to find business partners yet,because our products have not finished and need more time for preparing.
How do you feel about Feedsky?
An excellent team! Their achievements in China market are obvious to all.In terms of competition,we are not afraid of them,because our project started at the time that their services were becoming more and more stable.
Do you plan to provide feed services for BSPs customers?
BSPs are a big cake. But it's not easy to compete with Feedsky directly!
