Wordpress and blogspot users may be satisfied with the lovely email notification that when a new comment is made their blog platform will automatically sent a notify mail.This is a very lovely and useful feature,I think every blog software should provide a similar function,but things are not that simple.
Due to server limitation (suppose the server does not install webmail) or encoding problems (the blog developer never think of it),many blog softwares can not auto-sent notify mails to users,while (most of) them have independent comment rss output which few people notice.
So,once a blog system provide a comment rss,we can do a hack to make it sent us free comment email notification.This hack will be very easy,because we just to subscribe to the comment rss via email!Simple right?
Personally I suggest beginners to use R-mail,for in my test,R-mail is comparative timely to other email feed subscribe services.
To think further of this hack,we can also get notification via IM.China startup Anothr makes any rss update received in real-time via Skype/Gtalk/MSN.
