Will you use Blogger Custom Domains

News from Blogger Buzz, the Blogger Beta now support using a custom domain for serving your blog.

Can we call that a good news?Yes,for those people who don't live in mainland China for long it is.But in my mind,is foolish for a Chinese Blogger to use this service instead of publishing by FTP.

The reason is quite simple:a large scale of our readers are from mainland China, where the internet is under the GFW's control, once the government feel it's necessary to block the IP address from blogspot.com again god knows what we could do to make our domained blogger visited.

What's more, the Blogger Buzz also said:"Your old Blog*Spot address will forward to your new custom domain, so the switch will be seamless for your readers.",that means you and other bloggers have to renew the links for the former posts manually.Boring job, isn't it?Besides, the downtime of google's cheap hosting servers may much longer than yours.

It's true the Custom Domains Service will actualize full functions of Blogger Beta under your domain compared with publishing by FTP.But I don't think it's a good idea to move to the new version right now, cause the related themes resources and hacks are so few...
